Here are the "Museum-estate of the 19th century Kozell-Poklevskikh", included in the list of historical and cultural heritage of the republic and the only memorial and museum "Children swallowed up by War" in the CIS.
The Krasny Bereg manor is a fantastic estate in Belarus, similar to a castle from children's dreams, was built in 1893. The estate is perfectly preserved. Currently, you can see the manor house, an annex, outbuildings, a distillery and a magnificent park in the English style.
The exterior of the manor house is decorated with tents of towers, mansard roofs, gargoyle figures built into the main entrance. And the interior halls are a kind of guide to the history of architectural styles in the interior. Here, elements of more than ten styles are combined - Gothic and Romanesque, Rococo, Mannerism, Baroque, Classicism...
It is worth noting that the Kozell-Poklevsky estate is the only Belarusian estate in the design of which a rare Arabic style was used - Alhambra, or Moorish.
Near the palace, according to the design of F. Shanior, on an area of about 4 hectares, an "English park" is laid out. It is bordered on three sides by a high brick wall, and on the fourth - by the Dobosna River.
A network of paths divides the park into several zones, one of which is adjacent to the river.
The park has preserved velvet maple, larch, fir, hornbeam, oak, silver poplar and other types of trees planted at the end of the 19th century.
The park is included in the list of natural monuments of national significance.
There is a mysterious owl stone in the park - a boulder with two triangular holes-eyes.
How nice it is to walk along the park alleys, look at the architectural masterpiece of a talented architect, imagine how a century ago lavish receptions were held here, the most educated people gathered, and a luxurious life flowed.
1 km from the estate there is a branch of the Zhlobin local history museum complex "Museum "Children of War". It includes: a unique monument-memorial "Children swallowed up by War" and a museum of the same name, dedicated to children who suffered during the Great Patriotic War. This complex is not about violence, it is about childhood stolen by war.
In Krasny Bereg, the Nazis created a collection point for children aged 8 to 14, who were forcibly taken away from their mothers. In total, the Germans took 1990 children to Germany. The project of the monument was created by the creative workshop of L.M. Levin, an honored architect of Belarus, laureate of the Lenin and State Prizes.
